From February 15th to 25th, discover Swiss wines during the first edition of Swiss Wine Week Belgium, organized by Swiss Wine Promotion (SWP), the national promotion body for Swiss wines. From June 5th to 11th, the vibrant city of New York played host to the second edition of Swiss Wine Week, putting Swiss wines at the forefront. This exciting event, organized in collaboration with Switzerland Tourism, featured a captivating promotional video showcasing Swiss wines on the iconic Times Square. Alongside the General Consulate of Switzerland in New York, Switzerland Tourism, Lavaux Wine Bar, World Wine Guys, and Christy Canterbury - Master of Wine, tastings and workshops were curated, catering to both wine enthusiasts and industry professionals. For the second consecutive year, Swiss wines were welcomed in New York from June 5th to 11th. The fruitful partnership between Swiss Wine Promotion (SWP) and Switzerland Tourism resulted in the captivating display of a promotional video on the famous Times Square, accompanied by the compelling slogan, "We need more diversity, we need Switzerland. " As part of this collaboration, a public tasting was hosted at the esteemed Lavaux Wine Bar, drawing an impressive turnout of over 100 attendees. The festivities continued with a captivating masterclass conducted by renowned wine experts, Mike De Simone and Jeff Jenssen from World Wine Guys. Additionally, a workshop led by SWP and sommelier Kristen Goceljak took place at the esteemed CrownShy restaurant, further engaging and educating participants. The grand finale of the week-long affair was a delightful tasting dinner, graciously hosted by Consul General Niculin Jäger at the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York. The presentation of the exquisite Swiss wines was skillfully delivered by Christy Canterbury, a highly respected Master of Wine.
